The marketing magic that happens when potential customers see that other people already love, use, or recommend your product. Social proof can take many forms—customer reviews, star ratings, UGC (user-generated content), media mentions, “as seen on” badges, or even a “bestseller” label. For a Shopify store owner, it’s less about bragging and more about reassuring: “Hey, you’re not the first to buy this, and look how happy the others are!” When woven into your website, product pages, and Klaviyo emails, social proof builds trust, reduces hesitation, and can be the nudge someone needs to hit “Add to Cart.”
